If you are reading this, I would assume you have been carrying a big burden for quite some time. Whether you are a parent of a child navigating major depression or a carer for a loved one with complex anxiety, you know that the weight of care is often invisible, heavy, and constant.
Growing up, I saw first hand how being insufficiently supported can break even the strongest of carers into pieces. The fact is, you are often the forgotten ones. All the treatment, all the attention and all the love goes into your child. But what about you? Who thinks or cares about carers?
Below, we’ve answered a few of the most frequent questions we receive about what we are building here.
1. Who are we?
I am Jedd Kosman, and I am currently completing my Occupational Therapy Honours at Western Sydney University.
My journey into this space isn't just professional; it’s driven by a deep realisation that our healthcare system is excellent at treating the "patient," but often forgets the "person" standing right behind them. My Honours research specifically focuses on Carer Suicide Prevention, looking at the neurological and social factors that lead to burnout.
2. What is our mission?
Our mission is simple: To prioritise carers equally alongside the people they care for.
We believe in this Principle: You cannot effectively care for a child or support a loved one if your own nervous system is not healthy. We aren't here to give you another "to-do" list. We are here to provide clinical, sensory, and occupational strategies that help you maintain your own identity and mental safety while you navigate the crisis of care.
3. What are our goals for this year?
2026 is our "Foundational Year." While I complete my clinical training and research, our goals are focused on building the tools you need:
• Resource Development: We are finalising the first edition of our carer handbook—a comprehensive clinical handbook designed specifically for parents of children with depression, anxiety or mood disorders.
• Evidence-Based Content: Each month, we will publish insights and tips around the science of regulation, sensory modulation, and navigating the NDIS with a focus on carer support.
• Community Growth: We are building a waitlist of parents and carers who want to be the first to access our specialized clinical services when we officially launch in 2027
